This is what happens when a tower is installed incorrectly. We didn’t install this one—we were called in to take it down. Once I cut through the back leg of this Rohn 25 section, water started pouring out. That trapped moisture caused the inside of the leg to rust from the inside out. On the outside, the tower may look fine—but internally, it’s been slowly deteriorating for years. When towers don’t have proper drainage: 🔹 Water collects inside the legs 🔹 Corrosion forms where you can’t see it

One of the new sections wouldn’t seat properly — turns out there was an imperfection from the hot-dip galvanizing process that slipped past inspection on the ground.We raised the section back up, filed the joint smooth, and dropped it in clean.
