Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) asked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth why the American people should cough up “unlimited money for bombs” while they go hungry. “You’re asking for literally $1.5 trillion for a war President Trump said he already won,” Gillibrand told Hegseth during his request for a historically high defense budget.
